10 Daily Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life.
Introductions:
Everyday activities can have a huge impact on your overall health and quality of life. Today, I'm going to discuss 10 daily practises that have positively impacted my life in a variety of ways. Hello there! Welcoming you back to a full and happy life. My name is Pradeep, and I have a background in food engineering. Today, we'll discuss ten daily behaviours that have made a significant difference in my life in areas such as physical health, emotional health, and mental health. Before we get started, I'd like to give you some background information.
Background information:
The first thing to note is that these everyday routines have developed gradually over the last five years and are not something that happened overnight. Forming habits is difficult and time-consuming. The second point is that, while these are daily routines, I don't force myself to do them every day, especially when life gets too hectic or overwhelming. It's fine if things become a little sloppy now and then. It's not about perfection when it comes to making lifestyle changes; it's about doing what you can. I try to do these routines at least three to five times a week when I'm really stressed because I believe they help me stay on track and reduce stress. Anyway, now that we've covered the basics.
1. Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
The first thing I do every day is drink a glass of water as soon as I get out of bed. Not right away - I clean my teeth, go to the bathroom, and then drink a glass of water. This has made a significant difference in my morning energy levels. We don't drink any water while sleeping, so when we wake up, we're moderately dehydrated, and when we're dehydrated, our weariness levels rise. So obtaining an adequate hydrated first thing in the morning is a smart idea. A glass of filtered water is consumed by me. If I feel like it, I'll add some lemon to it. I don't always do this, and it's generally at room temperature, but warm water can also work. It really comes down to personal opinion, but drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning can help you feel more energised.
2.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Second, every day for ten minutes, I meditate. When I initially started, I was really suspicious of meditation. I didn't believe it because I didn't believe there was any science behind it, but there is actually quite a bit of research behind it. It can help you reduce anxiety, enhance your immunological function, and relieve pain, among other things. It has a wide range of capabilities. The major change for me has been mental clarity, and I'm a lot more relaxed. I am not a naturally calm person. I may appear calm, but I am not. Years of meditation have brought me to this point, and I believe that there are numerous benefits to trying it out. Now, if you're new to meditation, it can be intimidating, so I've put together two ideas to help you get started.
The First Tip
The first tip is to try to be extremely open about meditation at first. For me, the first 10 to 15 sessions were quite challenging. I had no idea what I was doing, I was overwhelmed, and I felt like I was going about it all wrong. I didn't really get into it until the 15th or 16th session, when I started to realise the benefits. So, give it some time.
The second Tip
Second, if you're just getting started with meditation, try guided meditation rather than solo meditation. Meditation with a guide can help you stay on track and lead you through the process. Apps and Teachers that I highly recommend. It's fantastic.
3.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Number three, I take a daily brisk stroll outside. Now, I must point out that I live in Canada, so a daily brisk walk outside is not possible all year! It doesn't happen in the winter, but the rest of the year I make an effort to get outside because I find it to be such a mood booster to get some fresh air... to get some sunlight... and to be out in the greenery, and studies have shown that exposure to greenery is beneficial to your health. Now, going for a quick walk isn't just a means to lift my spirits; it's also a way for me to get some exercise. I am NOT a gym person, I have never been to a workout person, I also don't enjoy it who knows who the people that enjoy the gym I would love to do that but I just can't I don't like it so for me getting exercise has to be something that is a part of my style of living and I love going for walks so I started to make my walks my exercise now the World Health Organization reported that we get about 150 minutes of physical activity per week.
4.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Number four in addition to the walk ayuh exercise is perfect for cardiovascular activity if you're performing a brisk walk, jogging, or running, but a well-rounded fitness plan should involve more than just cardio. I like to do some weight exercise and yoga, but I wanted to talk about weeds especially. Many women are hesitant to do weights because they believe it would make them appear a certain way. The World Health Organization recommends that adults lift weights at least twice a week. Why is it so important? As we age, we lose muscle mass. It's a normal part of development. Another normal part of ageing is losing bone density. This happens, but we can slow it down with one thing: weight training. It doesn't matter what age you are, whether you're in your 20s or 30s, it's never too early to start preserving your muscle mass and bone density. If you're a beginner, always consult a professional to learn the proper moves.
5.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Number five I try to eat something green every day, which is embarrassing, because even as a dietician, I find it difficult to eat greens. I didn't grow up eating greens, so it's a new notion to me, but I understand that they're incredibly nutrient dense, and that eating some greens on a regular basis is a good idea, especially if you eat a variety of greens so you receive a variety of vitamins and minerals.
6.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Number six Every day, I consume at least two to three servings of vibrant colors of fruits and vegetables (this is the minimum). Why is it vital to consume vividly coloured fruits and vegetables? I typically attempt to eat more. You may have heard of the slogan "eat the rainbow," which refers to eating fruits and vegetables of various colours. Different colours indicate varied phytochemicals, which indicate different health qualities. Some phytochemicals can benefit in cancer prevention, while others can improve in liver health and metabolism. There are a range of reasons to consume phytochemicals, and it's a good idea to acquire a variety. so I try to cut at least two to three servings of fruits and veggies from those different groups.
7.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Number seven, I listen to calming music every evening to relax, therefore music provides a variety of health benefits. The science is still developing, but what I observed very interesting is that nature sounds and relaxing music can help reduce stress and the stress hormone corticosterone, so I start listening to something that's very relaxing flutes maybe some nature sounds rustling with leaves things like that a waterfall those are all very easy to listen to at the end of the day as a way to relax.
8.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
I attempt to read or learn something new every day, and I enjoy it because it's something I enjoy doing, but there are other benefits to it, particularly when it comes to brain health. As we age, our memories naturally decline, but mental stimulation can help to slow that decline, so for me it's reading, and for you it could be whatever works for you. If you're a reading person reading a book, fiction and nonfiction both have their benefits. If you're learning something new it's all about keeping your brain engaged and stimulated.
9.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
Every day, I try to spend quality time with my loved ones, and I want to emphasise the word quality time because many of us end up spending time with our loved ones but we're on our phones and not properly engaged with them, we're not really talking to them, it's not good communication, and this happens to everyone it's just the digital age that we live in. I used to feel like I was spending time with my husband by scrolling on my phone next to him, but that wasn't really spending time, so now I spend time with my cats - I think that hugging a pet or a human can help you secrete oxytocin, often known as the cuddle hormone or the love hormone. and it can help reduce stress.
10.Behaviours That Have Transformed My Life
I avoid using phones one hour before going to bed because I used to be on my phone right before bed and it was very difficult for me to fall asleep because my brain was all over the location, it was very mentally stimulated, and phones also emit something called blue light, which your brain thinks it's not time to sleep so it won't produce melatonin very well and it becomes harder to sleep As a result, avoid using your phone late at night.
